What is an online skincare consultant?

What is a skincare consultant,  and why is it good to have one?

Skin care consultants can recommend the best treatments for you.

What is a online skin consultant, and what are the benefits?  A skin care consultant has a license, and has practiced or is practicing in the beauty business as esthetician or dermatologist who is skilled in understanding the skin and skin conditions.  At spanvhanover.com I will do a face time call once you book online and you will send me pictures of your skin and we will discuss your current skincare needs and goals.  I will also discuss current lifestyle and diet to help you with your skincare journey, as I believe it's not just what you put on your skin but gut health is also a factor.  I will then discuss your current skincare products and educate on what is beneficial or not for your skin.  We will also discuss what treatments will be good for you and even if you don't live near my spa I can recommend treatments in your area along with what products will benefit you.

As an Esthetician and holistic nutritionist I have been in this business for 20 years.  I have seen the spa business change so much and the one thing I that can be overwhelming in today's market is there's too many options out there today, and it can be very confusing especially on what products are right for you.  I am here to help and I can break it down for you and keep it simple.  Keeping your skin care routine simple and just educating you on what ingredients are best for your skin.  This is my passion and I look forward to helping you on your journey and the best skin of your life!  Book your online consultation now! spanvhanover.com

Retinol vs. tretinoin strength Retinol and tretinoin are both Vitamin A derivatives called retinoids. These two compounds are an attractive option for individuals who want to combat anti-aging and reduce acne breakouts regardless of age. Retinoid products speed up desquamation or shedding of the skin, and unclog pores, allowing other creams and serums to work better. They also reduce formation of acne scars and improve skin complexion by increasing cell turnover and rejuvenation. Prescription vs. over-the-counter Retinol is found in a wide variety of skin care products available over the counter. Which you can find in many drug store or grocery stores in the personal care section. Because tretinoin is stronger than retinol you should ask your esthetician or dermatologist whats best for you. Both retinol and tretinoin are commonly used as topical treatments for a variety of skin conditions These include: Acne, melasma, solar comedones, liver spots, sun spots, fine lines and wrinkles. Though they are similar tretinoin is more concentrated and acts faster on the skin causing more irritation for the skin. You can use tretinoin or retinol every night once your skin gets used to it. It is best to start out two nights a week and increase as your skin can handle it. Please keep your skin hydrated as you will have better results if you use serums or moisturizes with ceramides. It can take up to 12 weeks to see results from using retinol and tretinoin. Please be advised to wear spf as your skin will become more sensitized.
